Authentic and original English flintlock four barrel “Duckfoot” multi-shot pistol signed “Tickers-Chester”, .45 cal., 3” round barrels, brass frame, checkered rounded wood grip with silver name plate, barrels proof marked andnumbered on underside, slight border engraving of brass frame; in overall very good condition showing traces of original blue on barrels with scattered areas of old pitting, beautiful patina to brass frame, crisp action, good bores, verygood grip; pictured in F. Theodore Dexter’s Half Century Scrapbook of Vari-Type Firearms on Plate 45 and described on Page 100 as item 529. A chance to purchase a correct and real “Duckfoot” with provenance to the famous Frank E. Bivens, Jr.collection as documented in Dexter’s Scrapbook noted above. The majority of these interesting flintlocks offered for sale are not real but this one is completely authentic and suitable for prominent display at any museum or in any privatecollection!
