Authentic 19th century clip point Bowie knife with cutlery handle, blade marked "John Coe" in shield with trademark "I prefer" and "Sheffield". The blade shows stampings "I am for use" in banner, eagle with arrows,American hunting knife, hunter with 4 sets of dogs, and bull. The blade measures 9-1/4", shows a clip point, is of thick stock measuring almost 1/4" across back of ricasso; the blade shows 2 large nicks at the center, some minor erosion and pinprick pitting, but is generally good with most of its polish and is its full original dimensions. The silvered grip shows a small loss at the pommel area. The original scabbard ismissing the tip, retains the throat and button; the scabbard is fragmenting and opening at the edges and in poor condition. We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
