This closely resembles the M1885 uniform that saw use in the latter part of the Indian Wars. Buttons and their backmarks date from 1870-1893 and are all there. Trouser buttons are made from bone and fly buttons are hard rubber. Uniform is a small size and is in decent shape with few small moth holes and some loose threading around the collar. Name marked on the inside tag could lead to more history on this piece. Neat uniform that may have seen action during the Indian Wars, the Spanish American War or both.
