Vintage Austrian Commemorative Beer Stein, pewter lid is marked DBGM (This is Deutsches Bundes-Gebrauchsmuster {German Federal Registered Design}. This dates it to 1949 or later.'' with a hallmark and the number 82, the bottom has an embossed mark 2003 King 8, this beautiful stein is embellished with repousse' pottery cherubs and 3 medallions, 1 features Maria Theresia, the other Franz Joseph, and the other medallion features the ''Coat of arms of Maria Theresia on double-crowned shield divided into four fields representing Hungary, Bohemia, Burgundy, and Burgau (G�nzburg); crowned inner shield with coat of arms of Austria; supported by crowned and nimbate double-headed eagle.'' FYI: ''Maria Theresa was ruler of the Habsburg dominions from 1740 until her death in 1780, and the only woman to hold the position suo jure. She was the sovereign of Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Bohemia, Transylvania, Mantua, Milan, Galicia and Lodomeria, the Austrian Netherlands, and Parma.'' ''Franz Joseph I or Francis Joseph I was Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, and the other states of the Habsburg monarchy from 2 December 1848 until his death on 21 November 1916.''
