Spring lancet for bloodletting, engraved with floral designs, steel blade is cocked and released with the lever on the side, one side slides open to expose interior works, this is small sized for use on humans (larger would be for veterinary use). Embossed leather case is inscribed “traunichtesbeißt” which translated literally from German reads “do not trust it bites”. Lancet is in working used condition, case is worn with loss.
