Gold Pattern Proof from a rejected Royal Ladies Gold Collection. Struck by the Royal Australian Mint.
Whilst the coin bears the same design as that included in the issued set it measures just 18mm and has a denomination of 25 Dollars (the issued coin measures 28mm and has a denomination of 250 Dollars).
No coins from this "rejected" Pattern Collection have ever surfaced. With most Australian Patterns priced over $100,000.00 this represents a great opportunity for the advanced collector.
