Important and rare group of Agate pendants from the Warring States period. Similar examples are shown in several references and these are typical. The ring is 2-1/2" across, the two stylized Flying Dragons are 3-1/8" and 2-7/8" respectively, with the longer one having been broken and rejoined by a previous owner. Beautiful near-transparent agate was carefully selected for these....which may always have been together (I have left them as I acquired them). See: CHOW, Roger, Catalog entries #76-80, referenced below at lot 147. The clear crystal beads are old, but only one is "of the period". All highly desirable amulets from the tribals of North China.
