Extra rare. Unlisted in Degood. There was an Aurora Mine at Ironwood, Gogebic County, Michigan, but that appears to have been founded in 1880, after our stock. There was also an Aurora Iron Mining Company formed in Ontonagon County in the 1880s. So the exact location remains unknown. No. 24, issued for 2,500 shares to Alexander Bergerly in 1875 in Negaunee, Michigan. Signed by the president (illegible) and secretary Gibbs. Not cancelled. Purple print, green underprint, with state seal and dog vignettes. Heavy folds, soiling, and chips at folds. 8.5 x 10.5"
