Seminal and highly lauded French sculptor (1840–1917) whose works, including the iconic The Kiss and The Thinker, earned him a place among the most influential artistic figures of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Bold ALS in French, signed “Rodin,” one page, 5.25 x 7.5, no date. Letter to a woman. In part (translated): “I have received your good news and am very happy about it, especially in these times of destruction.” Affixed by the left border of the second integral page to a slightly larger sheet. In fine condition, a few mild creases. Accompanied by an unsigned photo of the sculptor.
