Seminal and highly lauded French sculptor (1840–1917) whose works, including the iconic “The Kiss” and “The Thinker,” earned him a place among the most influential artistic figures of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One of Rodin’s personal calling cards, 3.25 x 2, inscribed in French to Mademoiselle Alberta Morgan, signed “Aug. Rodin,” and dated June 18, 1906. Archivally double matted and framed with two photos of Rodin’s sculptures to an overall size of 20 x 16. In fine condition, with a bit of mild scuffing to card slightly affecting end of signature. A handsomely presented, and seldom-seen, format.
