Augusta National Golf Club Member/Masters Tourna
Augusta National Golf Club Member/Masters Tournament Green Jacket. In the golfing world, the most coveted prize one can earn is the fabled Green Jacket, presented annually to the victor in The Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club. Dating back to 1937, members at Augusta wore green jackets so fans would know whom they could approach with questions during the annual tournament. But, beginning in 1949, the celebrated garment took on greater significance as the winner of The Masters Tournament was presented with one at the award ceremonies. Only club members and Masters winners are issued these jackets, and they are not to be allowed off site. This jacket belonged to a former club member.

Highlighting the front is the unmistakable logo of the Augusta National in the form of a circular patch displayed over the heart. It is tailored to "42 Long," indicated with a black marker on the inside lining. The interior lining holds dual tagging, representing Cincinnati based tailor "Hamilton" and the logo of the Augusta National, which once held the name of the original owner (since deled with black marker). The jacket's buttons--three on the front and two smaller ones on each sleeve cuff--are all original, and again, cast in the image of the Masters logo. The back of each button reveals creation by "The Waterbury Button Company" of Cheshire, Connecticut. Overall, the condition of this exclusive jacket presents without a single objection.

Only golf's most accomplished figures have been able to capture the Green Jacket, but this offering allows one lucky bidder to own one for himself, regardless of the size of his handicap.

Shipping: Clothing, Costumes & Jerseys (view shipping information)
