Audrey Hepburn autograph letter signed. Undated letter is addressed to George Hopkins, set designer from ''My Fair Lady''. Letter in blue ink on Villa Suvretta stationery reads in full, ''Dear Mr. Hopkins, I am sorry not to have written sooner but have been moving around quite a lot, and the mail that managed to catch up with me, I have not had much time to catch up with!! I was thrilled to hear that the music stand had been sent, and am quite overcome by your and W.B.'s tremendous generosity. Have had an ecstatic letter from Miss Seton, to quote her, 'It will always be my most prized possession' so it looks like among us all we have made someone very happy. Thank you very very much for your great kindness in this and during the picture. Affectionately, Audrey H. / Heartsick to hear dear old Roy passed away.'' Letter runs two pages on a single sheet. Measures 5.75'' x 7''. Toning and some blurring to ink on top and bottom edges. Very good. Provenance from the estate of Tomatsu Higashi, George Hopkins' partner.
