Quite appealing with vivid inks, excellent signatures and light circulation. A perfect mid grade first charter $5 example. Five dollar bills from 1875 are quite rare. . These $5 bills from 1875 are part of a group of notes known as first charter national bank notes. These are valued based on their condition and serial number. In 1875 five dollars was like having $286.86 today. Most people couldnÕt afford to save five dollars in 1875 without reason. Because of that and due to small printing numbers, most 1875 five dollar bills are scarce to rare.
