He was greatly influenced by the Roman painting of the early nineteenth-century and Biedermeier style. This particular painting depicts a dapper man, fashionable woman and young boy, with a distant view of a village atop a mountain. The child presents his father with a tarot card with an allegorical representation of America, which is particularly relevant because some 47 million people entered the United States between 1820 and 1947. Condition Report: surface dirt, craquelure throughout, relined, scattered strengthening to margins and spots through canvas - review images online

Shipping: Requires 3rd Party Shipping (view shipping information)

Important notice:<
