A premier issue collectible doll titled Melissa from the Victorian Vanity collection, manufactured by The Ashton-Drake Galleries and designed by artist Sandy Freeman. The doll is constructed with a hand-painted bisque porcelain head, forearms, and lower legs, joined to a soft cloth torso and upper limbs. Features include fixed brown eyes with applied eyelashes and a blonde synthetic wig styled in curls with an intact hairnet. She is dressed in her original pink and cream-colored multi-tiered lace dress featuring a shimmering light blue iridescent waist sash, white socks, and cream-colored shoes with gold-tone buckles. Accessories include a miniature dark-wood finish three-legged stool and a pink powder puff held in the right hand. This lot includes the original Certificate of Authenticity for item number HT6363, signed by Sandy Freeman and Donald James, as well as the original wrist tag, promotional card, and original white and burgundy branded box.
