Asahel Curtis Original Hand Tinted Photo of Mount Baker in the Washington Cascades. The negative number "41902" is visible in the lower left corner. Sight size is 9" x 13", matted in dark green and custom framed to an overall 17" x 22". Asahel Curtis, Edward's younger brother, is known for his landscape scenes throughout the Pacific Northwest. This softly focused mountain and lake tableau features subtle but effective tinting. Mount Baker was named for Lt. Joseph Baker III of the HMS Discovery who sighted it in 1792. For the ski fans out there, it is one of the snowiest places in the world! Excellent condition.

Shipping: Framed - with Glass, Medium (view shipping information)
