(MGM, 1932) This is one of Greta Garbo’s most unusual films, and the only one in which she plays a blonde. The source of the screenplay was Luigi Pirandello’s 1930 play, Come Tuo Mi Voi, and the resulting film concerns an alcoholic bar entertainer (living with a writer played by Erich von Stroheim) who may or may not be the amnesiac wife of an Italian Count.
