Artist Unknown - Original Art for Jetta of the 21st Century #6, Complete 7-page Story, "Pardon My Power" (Standard Comics, 1953). Set in the far future of the 21st Century, Jetta is an obvious parody of the Archie comics of the day, and a probable inspiration for the "Jetsons" cartoon that would debut nine years later. Drawn in the style of a pre-Archie Dan DeCarlo (DeCarlo recently claimed to have only worked on the first two issues of Jetta, but it's very possible that he may have had a hand in this story as well), the ultimate Archie-artist's influence can clearly be seen in these seven pages. This story, which focuses on two rivals for Jetta's affection and the big Space Football Game, is from the comic's last issue, and is in exceptional condition. Each page measures approximately 23.25" x 14.75", with an image area of approximately 18" x 12". Fondly remembered by collectors, this is a rare opportunity indeed.
