A very important article in regard to Colonial Mexican numismatic history. Buttrey claimed that he was forced to publish it outside the U.S. after numismatic publishers in this country had been threatened with lawsuits if they published it. In the article, Buttrey examines a number of gold bars claimed to be of genuine colonial Mexican origin, and declares they are all fakes, implicating John J.
