Revolutionary War–dated third-person autograph endorsement, signed within the text, “St. Clair,” on the reverse of a manuscript document, one page, 8 x 8.5, April 3, 1776. A receipt for medical expenses incurred by various soldiers, endorsed on the reverse in St. Clair’s hand, “April 20th, 1776, Received of Coll. St. Clair Payment of the within account.” Signed at the conclusion by James Van Buren. In very good condition, with splits along folds and small paper loss at intersections. Accompanied by unsigned engravings of St. Clair.
