Balfour writes Philip G. Straus. Marked “Private” at the top in type. In full: “I have just received your letter of Jan. 10th, and beg to send you one line to express my warmest thanks, both for your kind congratulations, and for your good wishes.” In fine condition, with scattered light creasing and a tiny tear at the bottom border.
