CenterOne Red Ribbon trophy awarded to Arthur Ashe posthumously. The front is engraved, ''CenterOne Red Ribbon Award / ARTHUR ASHE / March 23, 1996 / In Recognition Of His Leadership / In The Fight Against AIDS''. After receiving a blood transfusion during heart surgery in the early 1980's, Ashe was diagnosed with AIDS. He became an advocate for AIDS awareness and prevention until his death from the disease in 1993. Lucite heart has a ribbon shape carved into the surface and painted red. Sits on a trapezoidal prism base also made of lucite. Measures 10'' in height and 8'' across. Miniscule chip to the front left edge of the base and a scratch to the lower left of the plaque, else fine. With an LOA from Arthur Ashe's widow.
