Arthur Ashe handwritten note signed ''Arthur'' regarding the African American Athletic Association, with a report outlining ways to garner new board members and general by-laws, as Ashe was already serving on the board. 20+ page 8.5'' x 11'' report lists the association's goals and details its fiscal budget. Includes an autograph note signed in Ashe's hand, on his personal letterhead, reading in part: ''Roscoe, I know you're busy...Enclosed are copies of 1. invitation letter to prospective board members 2. Draft By-Laws 3. Draft of Start-up funding solicitation.'' Signed ''Arthur''. Housed in original manila envelope with Ashe's printed return address, addressed in hand to a Dr. Roscoe C. Brown. Near fine condition. Includes LOA from Ashe's widow.
