Art Nouveau spelter, onion-shaped vase with female figure, applied poppy (Coquelicot in French) flowers and wheat sprigs. It is signed Aug. Moreau and stamped with a seal that reads as follows: Fabrication Francaise, Paris, Made in France. Auguste Louis Moreau (1834 -1917) was born in Paris. This vase is typical of his preferred subject matter--graceful young maidens clad in sheer dresses decorated with flowers. In good used condition with patina losses and removed bottom as shown (ready to convert into a lamp base). Please ask questions, request additional photos and shipping costs before buying.
