These wine goblets are splendid! They are truly and stunningly beautiful!

Their beauty comes from both their design and the execution of that design within the glass medium. The design is a flower/leaf meld in shades of mauve, pink, green, blue, and purple. The predominant shade is mauve. The flower and leaf meld, shown by the veining, drains through the goblet to the foot, taking one gazing at it with it! It well represents the metaphor of sliding oneself into the wine being drunk.

I have included pictures taken with and without the flash to show the detail of the design as well as the stunning effects of the color.

They are frosted glass, resembling the texture of ice. Frosted glass was first produced in Murano, Italy in the 16th century. It is the result of exposing the glass to hydrofluoric acid. This derives the "frost", or a matte surface with somewhat of a "fuzzy feel" to the touch. This technique is especially effective when combined with bright colors to create a contrast: it gives a "subdued" sense to the sheen of the glass while preserving the overall brightness of the overall design of the body.

The goblets are 6 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches across the top, and have a 2 1/2-inch foot. They are not marked.

My research tells me that these are 1920s vintage. They truly are works of art to see and to hold!
