Art Nouveau - 4 Tile Set
This is a set of four Art Nouveau tiles. Each tile is 6" square, ca. 1890. The maker is Alfred Meakin (England). The designs are nicely modeled in medium relief, and they have a lovely majolica glaze, in varying hues of green. The condition is very good on all tiles. Minimal surface abrasions and two very small edge nips. The set of 4 consists of one left and one right facing tile with a large 3 petal leaf flowing into a vine that continues across the top; as well as two center tiles with opposite facing single leaves and the continuation of the vine.
