Before I begin wrestling with this grumbling bulls standing behind me, I would like to read you all a little something I prepared... * * * Title: Bully for Bugs * * Artist: Warner BrothersMedium: Giclee on paperImage Size: 11 1/4" x 15 1/2" * * Paper Size: 15 3/4" x 19 3/4" - unframedEdition: hand numbered out of 500 * * Condition: Excellent * * Authentication: Warner Brothers hologram on paper * This scene is taken from an actual “freeze-frame” from the Looney Tunes cartoon short entitled, Bully for Bugs, released in 1952 under the direction of Chuck Jones. On his way to a “big carrot festival,” Bugs Bunny gets lost, tunneling into a bullring in * the middle of a bullfight between Toro, the bull and a very nervous matador. Bugs declares he should have taken “a left toin in Albaquoique.” As he asks the matador for directions, the matador escapes into the stands, leaving Bugs to fend for himself. After * irritating Bugs and getting slapped for “steaming up my tail,” Toro chalks up the points of his horns like a pool cue and rams the rabbit out of the bullring. As he sails into the air, Bugs mutters, “of course you realize, dis means war.” After Bugs enters * the ring in matador garb, he defeats Toro using an anvil hidden behind his cape, amd after numerous highly-animated exchanges, Toro finds that he is no match for Bugs. *
