<td width="100%">
A very unique celluloid Scottie Dog or Pug Dog brooch that hangs from a really pretty gold filled etched "ribbon" bow. This piece is clearly marked Gold Filled on the back and signed with the initials JSC. This free moving dangling doggie is chunky, not flat and is very dimensional. He is deeply etched and this is a lovely and substantial piece. This little doggie is Ivory in colour and measures 1-1/2" inches wide from east to west and stands 1" inch in height. He has a depth of almost 1/2" inch from the tail area where the paws are together. The lovely and dainty gold filled bow has beautiful etching along the edges of the "ribbon" and on both sides of the bow - and measures 1-1/2" inches wide from east to west and is just under 1/2" inch in height. Safety close on the back. This could also be a Pug dog, such as the Duchess of Windsor made fashionable around the time of WW11 and the abdication of King George, later known as the Duke of Windsor. I have tried to include many photos as I am not a dog "expert" but this dog's ears are floppy rather than straight up, which might suggest the Pug dogs that the Duchess made fashionable around that era. Whichever the breed, he is in very excellent condition and in need of a new home!!
