Arrow (2012) - TV Series Character Design Artwork. Arrow is an American superhero television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. It is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, a costumed crime-fighter created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp. It premiered in North America on The CW on October 10, 2012, with international broadcasting taking place in late 2012. Primarily filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the series follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who, five years after being stranded on a hostile island, returns home to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. Drawn by famed Spanish artist Sergio Sandoval. Sergio made his debut in the early 1990s drawing comic-books and covers for Comics Forum (Spain). Nowadays, he combines his work in comics with that of conceptual artist in the film world. He has collaborated with Guillermo del Toro on several major films: The Devil’s Backbone, Hellboy, Hellboy II: Golden Army and Pan’s Labyrinth. He has also worked for top-level international publishers on both sides of the Atlantic: Planeta DeAgostini (Thännhauser limited series), DC Comics (Deus Ex limited series, Superman: DCUO Legends, Batman: Legends of The Dark Knight digital, Uncharted limited series, Arrow digital and others), Random House Mondadori (Ranko Kameran) and Madefire.
