American physicist and Nobel laureate in physics. He and his colleague, Robert Woodrow Wilson, discovered cosmic microwave background radiation (CMB), the radio remnant of the "Big Bang," the theory of the origin of the universe. The two scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1978. Notated typescript on an article entitled ‘Four Themes That Guide Technology,’ 15 pages, 8.5 x 11. The first 14 pages are heavily notated by Penzias, including a possible new title, “Reflections on Key Technologies.” At the bottom of the first page, Penzias writes, “Manuscript of article published by A.D. Little 1933.” In fine condition. An interesting and heavily notated article.
