Cased commemorative Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum replica black powder single action 6-shot percussion pistol. Blued 7-1/2" barrel. Case colored loading lever, frame and hammer. Nickel plated and roll-stamped cylinder showing an indian battle. Nickel plated non-ferrous trigger guard and backstrap. Left grip has an inlaid panel inscribed, "Free as the breeze, Swift as a mustang, tough as a cactus". Backstrap is inscribed "Presented by Sam. Colt to Maj. Ben McCulloch Jan. 1, 1848". The barrel bears the likenesses of Sam Colt, Ben McCulloch, their signatures and a Texas Ranger badge in gold leaf. Not cut for a shoulder stock. Lined hardwood case with loading and maintenance tools and a key. The lid of the box has a six-point and a five-point star on the outside. Condition is like new in box. *Antique Firearm*
