Arisaka RARE Navy Type I (Italian Made) WW2 Japanese Rifle 6.5 x 50

RESERVE is set on this RARE Rifle of $1500

Here we have an extremely rare version of the Arisaka - The Type I rifle was

produced during the early years of World War II for the Japanese Empire by the

Kingdom of Italy - NOTE - Type I is not a numeric symbol, it denominates Italian and

not the number one.

This full wood WW2 Rifle was built for the Japanese round (6.5 x 50) and made

to accommodate the Japanese Bayonet.

Under 50k Rifles were made by the Italians.

Condition of this RARE gun is very good

Bore is very good .

The gun is free from any stamps other than the serial number - this one is D3255.
These guns were never issued with any stamps -

No Chrysanthemums or symbols ..
Just a number..

Metal surfaces are dull with an even patina from age.

Stock pieces are all sound with many dents and bumps one would expect from

a military rifle that saw service in WW2.

The rear stock does have a line showing where the stock was made out of 2 pieces
of wood. This is normal. Unit has the original steel butt plate.

All is original and as issued .. an excellent collectible of this RARE Arisaka variant.

Frequently used by the Imperial Japanese Navy.

Some rifles were given to Japan's puppet regimes in China and used by garrison

units of the Imperial Japanese Army.
