Aretha Franklin 1968 "Respect," "Chain of Fools" Jumbo Globe Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, appearing in concert at the Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday evening, September 29, 1968.

Any Aretha Franklin concert poster from the 1960's that has "Respect" on it is an automatic home run. There are just very few, and this one is the best... a terrific jumbo Globe with bright Day-Glo colors. Then you throw in the amazing "A Natural Woman (You Make Me Feel Like)" above her name, the Top 10 smash "Think" below her name, and mix in the megahit "Chain of Fools," and you're cooking with gas. Includes a wonderful, pensive photo of Miss Franklin as well, before she started wearing her hair up all the time.

This was a "tour blank" also used in other cities, but very sparingly because it's hardly ever seen 50 years later. Not only is this the first time Heritage has ever had one for sale, if you look in our database, it's 10 times better than any Aretha Franklin concert poster we've ever sold. Measures 22" x 27 1/4" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
