10" tall, 19" long. Archie Wayne Castleberry, 80, of Weatherford, died in his sleep Saturday morning, Feb. 23, 2013. A celebration of life is being planned for May 2013. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 29, 1932, in Rush Springs, Okla., to the late Olva Franklin and Lena Ray (Black) Castleberry. Archie proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was a self-employed building contractor until 1978, when he began merchandise trading. Archie was an accomplished carpenter as well as a creative artist. His artistic ability led him to making bronzes. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Jo Castleberry, of Weatherford; stepdaughters, Melinda Hawthorne and Robbie Prentice; daughter, Doris Heider; son, Brad Castleberry; sister, Doris Quisenberry; brother, Metz Castleberry and wife, Barbara; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
