<B>Archie Annual #4 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Archie, 1953) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages.</B></I> This is the only copy of #4 to receive a blue-label Universal grade from CGC to date. We had never seen one this nice before -- the spine of this square bound book seldom survives without multiple "dings" and color breaks, so the spine of our copy is sure to please. As for the cover gag: "three on a match" refers to an old superstition that it was bad luck for three to light their cigarettes from the same match. The cover is by the first artist ever to draw Archie, Bob Montana. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $231.
