Elegant all-around carved jade in pale celadon with a free hanging ring

This finely carved jade with open work was made in China during the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The translucent stone shows a very pale celadon color with flecks of russet. The brush washer has a slender quatrefoil foot and the form of a mythical creature with a rhyton and a free hanging ring on its back.



The jade is in good condition with hardly any signs of wear. The carving has a width of 8.5 cm.
