This is an excellent authentic ancient pre-historic Agate Basin long spear point in a rare high grade of G9+. The point shows a wonderful flint material and is in excellent well-preserved museum quality condition which is graded as being a G-9+. This is an authentic original Agate Basin spear point in a very rare large size that was collected in Saline County, Illinois. The spear point has a collection museum tag that reads, “222-A5 Carrizozo Archaic 5 ¾” Agate Basin Flint Point Saline Co., ILL, Book Value $3000.00 G-9+ Ralph Morgan D-350 E. Texas” and “5 ½ AGATE BASIN G-9+ Value 3000 Saline Co. IL pg. 695.” This 10,550-9,350 B.P. artifact is from the Illinois Native American Indians and is an exceptionally fine spear point showing wonderful detail and an extraordinary size. Provenance: From a multi-generation artifact collection spanning 80-100 years from Las Cruzes, New Mexico. The point is in excellent condition and measures 5 3/4” long by 1 1/8” wide. Riker case is 5.25”x6.25” and 1” thick.
