Large collection of Apollo items:

Three items signed by Frank Borman: a color satin-finish 8 x 10 photo of Borman in his spacesuit, signed in black felt tip, “Frank Borman—Apollo VIII Commander”; an official color 8 x 10 NASA lithograph of the Apollo 8 astronauts posing in their white space suits, signed in black felt tip, “Frank Borman”; and an ALS, one page, 8.5 x 8.75, 1994, penned on the bottom half of a letter written to him, responding to questions about a biography and Michael Collins, in part: “I wrote a book ‘Countdown’ with Bill Serling. It is now out of print. Mike was not to command Apollo 8. He was the command module pilot & was replaced by Jim Lovell after his operation.” In overall fine condition, with a few creases to bottom edge of lithograph. Accompanied by some commemorative Apollo 8 ephemera, including: two coins, stamps, and a thick press release detailing the mission.

A limited-edition Apollo 14 souvenir mini-coin, .5-inch diameter, commemorating the 1971 flight, made from a special melt of silver into which was placed 10,000 grains of silver carried aboard Apollo 14 on its voyage around the moon. The souvenir was originally presented to members of the Franklin Mint Collectors Society in 1971. In fine condition.

Large collection of material related to the Apollo missions, including: four types of hardware related to the Apollo Lunar Module, including an unopened helium valve, an unopened package of 'O' rings, two unopened packages of single metal seals, and an unopened package of four spring valves; 17 medallions commemorating the Apollo 11 mission; 36 matchbooks honoring the Apollo program, most featuring images of the various mission insignias; pair of the Apollo 14 primary and backup embroidered crew patches; decals for Apollo 13, Apollo 14, Apollo-Soyuz, Skylab, and others; and a collection of material related to Apollo 16, including booklets, two samples of access badges, decals, commemorative covers and cards, pins, and reports. In overall very good to fine condition.
