Early set of press material for the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, the first crewed international space mission, carried out jointly by the United States and the Soviet Union in July 1975. The lot includes: a 9.5 x 12 “Press Information” folder with text in English and Cyrillic; a stapled “Apollo/Soyuz Press Kit,” 8 x 10.5, prepared by the Manned Spacecraft Recovery Force, Atlantic, Task Force 140; and a stapled NASA manual entitled “Apollo Soyuz Test Project Press Kit,” 114 pages, 8 x 10.5, containing sections prepared by the U.S. and the U.S.S.R., respectively. In overall very good to fine condition, with some rust stains to the staples, and both press kit covers detached but present.
