Uncommon spiral-bound manual entitled "Apollo Fuel Cell Powerplant Development Program, OD-567," prepared by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft (P&WA), 222 pages, 9 x 11, dated November 1, 1963. The document represents a detailed description of the P&WA fuel cell development program which will be conducted with the primary objective of successful development and qualification of the Apollo fuel cell powerplant on schedule. Sections include (with many fold-outs): Apollo Organization and Function, Apollo Organization, Derivation of the Development Plan, and Development Plan, with the latter featuring the following subsections: Independent Module, 31-Cell Power Section, Six Cell Assemblies, Single Cell, Interelectrode Seal, Hydrogen Pump-Separator Assembly, Glycol Pump, Reactant Preheaters, and more. The front cover stamped "Apollo" and bears a received date of December 16, 1963. In very good to fine condition, with scattered staining and some surface loss to front cover; the back cover, appendixes, and several concluding subsections present but are no longer bound within spiral.
