Flight-flown TEI (Trans Earth Injection) page taken from the Apollo 8 Updates book. Page measures 5 x 8, is dated in type, “Nov. 26, 1968,” and has been extensively notated in blue ballpoint during the flight of Apollo 8. This particular checklist was of extreme importance as it covers the stage of the mission in which the engine was fired while the spaceship was flying over the dark side of the Moon to set it on a course for home. This burn was performed by the restartable Service Propulsion System (SPS) engine on the Service Module. This item was taken from the full original flown book, part number "SKB 32100042-201" and serial number "1003" sold by Heritage in 2008 (Auction 2007, Lot 41076). In fine condition, with three punch holes to one side, a bit of trivial toning, and a few trivial corner creases. Accompanied by a letter from Spaceflori, signed by Florian Noller, attesting to their purchase of the original book and subsequent removal of this page from it. Flown artifacts from man's first trip to the moon are always in demand, and with this page pertaining to such a crucial stage of the mission, makes this item all the more desirable.
