Flown printed fabric American flag, 5.5 x 4, flown to the moon aboard the America command module. Flag is affixed to a 13.5 x 10.75 certificate stating the flag was carried to the moon and presented “In recognition of your outstanding contribution to the manned space flight program presented to Chief of the Reliability Division Joseph H. Levine.” Certificate also bears a printed signature of Christopher Kraft and a presentation date of January 1981. Framed to an overall size of 14.75 x 11.75. In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light foxing to certificate. Flag originates from the estate of Joseph H. Levine, who served as Chief, Reliability Division, Safety, Reliability, and Quality Assurance from 1972–1985.
