Cream-colored polyester necktie by Rhynecliffe, 56? long, with an Apollo 16 mission emblem printed at the end with “Charlie Duke Day,” printed underneath. In very good condition, with several small stains and light soiling. Charlie Duke Day was held on May 26, 1972, in his home town of Lancaster, South Carolina. A report in the following day’s Spartanburg Herald-Journal reports 25,000 people attended a parade in Duke’s honor and that Duke “wore a white tie emblazoned with the words ‘Charlie Duke Day.’”
