Attested to as flown by original owner, a .25˝ x .25˝ swatch of gold Kapton foil removed from the Apollo 15 Lunar Module Falcon, and affixed to a color 6.5 x 4.5 photo of LMP Jim Irwin saluting the flag on the lunar surface. The swatch and photo are framed to a slightly larger size, with the frame backing bearing an affixed notice of authenticity signed by Clark C. McClelland, a former ground test astronaut of the Space Shuttle Fleet, which reads: "I solemnly attest that the portion of 24K gold Mylar on the upper right of the front photo is part of the actual gold Mylar shown on the lunar module to the lower left of the USA Flag placed on the moon. Astronaut James Irwin…brought several sheets of this historic gold Mylar back to me following his Apollo 15 mission that landed on the moon on August 7, 1971." Frame backing also bears McClelland's business card and a clipped image of him performing pre-mission duties in Space Shuttle Columbia. In fine condition.
