<B>Apollo 15 Crew Signed Insurance Cover</B></I> "<I>Dave Scott</B></I>", "<I>Al Worden</B></I>", and "<I>Jim Irwin</B></I>". Measuring 6.5" x 3.5", postmarked July 26, 1971, Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Signed by all three around the color cachet on the left. These ultra-rare covers were signed by the astronauts just hours before their launch on the Apollo 15 mission. These covers would then be given to the families of the astronauts in case they did not make it safely back from space. The family could then sell the covers as "insurance" coverage against the death of the fallen astronaut. Wonderful collectible with three bold signatures. Accompanied by an Affidavit of Identity / Letter of Authenticity signed by Mary Irwin-Vickers, widow of Apollo 15 lunar module pilot Jim Irwin.
