Astronaut Dave Scott autograph note signed concerning the Apollo 15 mission insignia. Scott, who walked on the moon in this mission, writes to NASA employee Stanley Jacobsen, ''Stan: The 'E' to be included in the surface of the design is formed thus: [he hand draws three versions of the stylized letter ''E'' in blue ink] Thanx, Dave Scott / 6-1 / Only need one, of course, you can take an average! / D.'' The ''E'' he refers to is the first letter of emblem designer Emilio Pucci's name, which appears prominently in the graphic. Single page on loose leaf ruled paper is near fine. A 4pp. 8.25'' x 10.75'' typed letter to Scott from Emilio Pucci on Pucci letterhead containing samples of the mission logo is also included, datelined Firenze, 15 March 1971.
