<Our item number 122777><B>Apollo 15, 1971, FLOWN &#34;Illinois State Motto&#34; Flag carried to the LUNAR SURFACE.</B> &#40;6x4&#34;&#41; This multicolor flag depicts an Eagle standing on a rock with a red banner in it&#39;s beak that reads: &#34;State Sovereignty, National Unity&#34;. Al Worden &#40;Command Module Pilot&#41; has inscribed the bottom of the flag in black ink &#40;with extensive bleed&#41;: &#34;This flag was flown to the lunar surface onboard the lunar module &#34;Falcon&#34;, July 26-Aug 7, 1971 / Al Worden CMP Apollo 15&#34;. <BR><BR>The flag is lightly attached to a white padded backing &#40;6x8&#34;&#41; for display purposes.
