6'' x 4'' rayon type fabric flag of the state of Ohio carried aboard Apollo 14 by Lunar Module Pilot Edgar Mitchell. Accompanied by COA signed by Mitchell that reads in part, ''...the flag...was carried in my personal preference kit (PPK) from January 31, 1971 to February 9, 1971 during the Apollo 14 mission...' Apollo 14 was the third lunar landing mission and the first devoted primarily to scientific exploration of the moon. The COA on Mitchell's Apollo 14 letterhead is signed ''Edgar Mitchell''. Fine condition.
