Astronaut Edgar Mitchell carried this flag of the state of North Dakota aboard the Apollo 14 lunar mission. A COA on Mitchell's Apollo 14 letterhead signed by Mitchell accompanies the 6'' x 4'' rayon type fabric flag. It reads in part, ''...the flag...was carried in my personal preference kit (PPK) from January 31, 1971 to February 9, 1971 during the Apollo 14 mission...'' Signed ''Edgar Mitchell''. Fine condition.
