Flag of Guatemala flown to the moon aboard Apollo 14 by astronaut Edgar Mitchell. The 6'' x 4'' rayon type fabric flag is accompanied by a COA signed by Mitchell who writes that the flag: ''...was carried in my personal preference kit (PPK) from January 31, 1971 to February 9, 1971 during the Apollo 14 mission...'' On this third lunar landing mission, Mitchell and fellow astronaut Alan Shepard explored the moon's Fra Mauro Highlands region. The COA on Mitchell's Apollo 14 letterhead is signed ''Edgar Mitchell''. Fine condition.
